Dr. Eugene Alford is the Director of Alford ENT and Facial Plastic Surgery. He completed training in surgery of the facial nerve, facial reanimation and endoscopic sinus surgery in 1990, otolaryngology-head and neck surgery in1991, and head and neck oncology/ facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in 1992. He is certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Dr. Alford is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery and Dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine. He takes an active interest in hospital administration and patient care issues, as evidenced by his position as Secretary/Treasurer of the The Methodist Hospital Medical Staff. He is the founding President of the Texas Society of Facial Plastic Surgery, an organization founded to promote educational and patient care goals for citizens of Texas. He is an internationally recognized surgeon who was selected by his fellow physicians for inclusion in The Best Doctors in America and his name has been included as one of Houston's "Top Doctors" in Inside Houston magazine. Dr. Alford is a volunteer in the "Face to Face Program," which assists victims of domestic violence in their recovery.

For his work in the “Face to Face Program,” Dr. Alford has appeared on the Larry King Live and Oprah show. Dr. Alford is sought out by both local and national media as an expert in Facial Plastic Surgery having been quoted in the Houston Chronicle, Dallas Morning News, American Medical Association News and other prestigious publications.

Dr. Alford is one of the founding partners of Texas Ear, Nose and Throat Consultants, where he has been practicing since January of 1997, following several years of academic practice at Baylor College of Medicine.
